ReplyDeleteQUETTA, Sept 25 (APP): As many as 323 people have so far died and more than 550 others have been injured in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit parts of Balochistan on Tuesday evening, Home Secretary Balochistan Asad Gilani told APP. “Wide spread destruction in the Awaran, Turbat and Kech districts of the province has posed serious challenge for the provincial government to tackle catastrophe with its available resources,” he said adding reports so far reaching here suggested that 270 people were killed alone in the Awaran district while the death toll in Turbat and Kech has mounted to 43. He feared that death toll may rise as there are still large number of people trapped under the debris, and many more critically injured.
